As Jan said in her submission to the WWR ezine, "The
ingredients may sound bizarre but, trust me, it is a wonderful mix of
flavors...and great over grilled pound cake or ice cream."
6 peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced into thick
wedges
3 Tablespoons (45 ml) balsamic vinegar
3 Tablespoons (45 ml) brown sugar
1/2 tsp (2 ml) freshly ground pepper, or to taste
Combine all the ingredients in a non-metallic bowl and toss to combine. Chill
in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving. Serve with heavy cream, whipped
cream, or vanilla ice cream if desired. Serves 4 to 6.
Dorothy's Note: If you want a little more "sauce" you can add more balsamic
vinegar and brown sugar in proportion....
