Grill these burgers or broil them,
but don't overcook. We like them slightly on
the rare side; they are juicy (OK, a little messy), and extremely tasty!
1-1.5
pounds ground beef or ground bison
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green chile, thawed if frozen and drained
1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
salt, ground black pepper to taste
Cheese slices
Lettuce, tomato slices,
mayo/ketchup/mustard as desired
Kaiser rolls or large hamburger buns, split and toasted
Extra chopped green chile for topping
Mix ground beef or bison, chopped onion, green chile, sun-dried
tomatoes, salt & pepper together thoroughly and shape into four
patties. Grill or broil, top with cheese and serve with lettuce and
tomato slices in a bun -- tortilla chips on the side. Serves 4. |
